Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds an Distinguished Chair in Psychology in the University of California Davis and is Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is widely praised for launching the modern science of the eyewitness memory of children and using child victims to testify as legal witnesses. Professor Goodman is a prolific author who has received many awards and grants. She has worked with many governments and organizations around the globe on policy and research relating to children who are victims of the legal system. She currently serves as consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is also a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor Goodman also belongs to the Psychonomics Society as well as the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the head of the America Psychological Association's divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice.
